Part of being a good resident is to prevent yourself from being a victim to online frauds and scams. We ask all our residents to be vigilant while responding to communication from anyone that may be impersonating to be the City of Airdrie or a staff member.
Official City of Airdrie communication channels where you will receive notifications via SMS/text messages, email or through social media channels are outlined below. In support of anti-phishing techniques, the City of Airdrie will never ask for your credit card information, password or account information over email or through social media. If any of this information is required to be shared with the City of Airdrie or if you are unsure if you've received a genuine notification, our staff at the call centre is here to help. Sometimes emails from the City get caught in SPAM folders. To ensure you receive emails from the City, please add no-reply@airdrie.ca to your "safe senders" or contact list. If you require assistance adding our email address to your safe senders list, please contact your email provider.
If you signed up for SMS text message notifications, but you are not receiving them, you may have accidentally opted-out. If you text STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, our SMS text message service cannot send messages to your number. In order to begin receiving text messages again, you will need to text START, YES or UNSTOP to the number you received the notification from.
