The City of Airdrie offers four outdoor fitness equipment locations, conveniently located in three parks around the city.
Airdrie welcomes its first outdoor active circuit at East Lake Regional Park. Beginning at the Genesis Place north arenas parking lot, at 800 East Lake Boulevard NE, the Active Airdrie Circuit guides participants through seven stations earmarked by signage detailing activity instructions; inclusive of demonstrative videos accessible via QR codes on mobile devices. Stations utilize existing park features such as bridges, lookouts and benches while guiding participants past the outdoor fitness equipment recreation grounds located within the regional park. Activities include: walking lunges, pushups, lateral lunges, backwards uphill walking, tricep dips, squats and a sprint to the finish! Let's get moving Airdrie!
Access to East Lake Regional Park via the Genesis Place north arenas parking lot is temporarily closed to support construction of an artificial turf field at Ed Eggerer Athletic Park. Access to the park remains available via 730 East Lake Road NE.
