Ed Eggerer Athletic Park (temporarily closed for construction)
Ed Eggerer Athletic Park is located at the northeast end of the Genesis Place recreation facility at 800 East Lake Boulevard NE, alongside East Lake Regional Park.
- 400 metre, eight lane, outdoor, state-of-the-art, rubberized running track
- 1,000 capacity seating grandstand with handicap access
- Regulation size, multi-use playing field
- Track and field, long jump and triple jump pits
Temporary construction closure
Ed Eggerer Athletic Park has been selected as the location for a new artificial turf field. Public access to the field and track is temporarily closed. The park is expected to reopen for bookings and public access in the early fall.
Insurance requirements
Proof of insurance with the coverage below is required for user groups booking the park:
- general liability insurance, acceptable to the City of Airdrie, with a minimum coverage of $2 million per occurrence
- City of Airdrie as additional insured
- Cross Liability clause
- insurance must not contain a 'participant's exclusion'
- endorsement for 30 days written notice of material change or cancellation
