Airdrie’s newest development on the east side has broken ground.
Owned by Spring Valley LP, which includes a group of builders and contractors, East Points Commercial Centre is a 53.5-acre master-planned commercial hub, tailored to meet the needs of small to medium industrial and manufacturing businesses. The full development of the Spring Valley subdivision is 770 acres and includes a mixed residential component, public spaces and a high school.

As land development began in August, Adrian Munro, one of the partners of Spring Valley and president of Highfield Investment Group, expressed confidence in the timing and location, emphasizing that the east side of Airdrie is poised for substantial growth.
“Airdrie has done a lot on the west side, but the east side is the next growth area,” he said. “We’re well-positioned to capitalize on that.”
With fully serviced lots, advanced infrastructure, and build-to-suit options, the development promises to be a prime location for companies looking to capitalize on Airdrie's growth.
“We’ve been involved with this land since 2007,” said Munro. “Our vision has always been to create a comprehensive development that includes residential, commercial, and industrial spaces.”
For more than 40 years, Highfield Investment Group has been a cornerstone of development in Calgary and its surrounding areas with a diverse portfolio of over 4,000 acres. Now, with East Points and Spring Valley, Highfield continues its legacy of growth and community enhancement.
“We’ve always been a collector of land,” said Munro. “It’s just how you capitalize on it that’s important.”
Munro, who took over the company’s land development and operational businesses in 2004 after a stint as a financial analyst with IBM, sees East Points as a strategic addition to Airdrie's landscape.
Highfield's approach combines long-term vision with meticulous planning.
“The devil’s in the details,” said Munro.
