The FREE Right for Your Business support program matches you with local experts to develop goals, strategies, and action plans to address your current business challenge or opportunity – whatever it might be. You get free one-on-one advising to help you survive and thrive in the current economic climate.

Details:

  • Open to all Airdrie storefront businesses with a valid City of Airdrie commercial business licence.
  • Applications accepted on an ongoing basis and evaluated in the order they're received.
Support is available from experts in several areas, including:
  • Business strategy and planning – changing, pivoting, growing and resilience
  • Financial planning, management and cash flow
  • Human resources and workforce
  • Marketing strategy and planning
  • Legal
  • IT infrastructure
  • Work-life balance and wellness

Process

Right for Your Business support program application and intake process.

Eligibility

Your business is eligible if:

  • You hold a valid City of Airdrie commercial business licence
  • You have a storefront location within Airdrie's city limits

What kind of professional support would help your business succeed? What are your most pressing business questions or challenges? Are there opportunities you would like to take advantage of but don’t know where to start?

Fill out the program application

To apply, complete the application form linked below and submit it now. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Important notes:

  • Applications are processed in the order they are received.
  • Application reviews and program intake are ongoing.
  • Program acceptance and support service timelines may vary, depending on the volume of applications submitted and support expert availability.
  • Successful applicants remain in the support queue until an advisor is available.

Program intake interview

Once you apply, one of the Airdrie Economic Development team members will call you to discuss your specific situation and business needs. We can help identify the support services best suited to help you meet your business goals whether it's goal-setting, business planning, strategy execution, hiring staff or anything else — a wide variety of supports are available.

Book and complete your advising sessions

You will receive instructions on how to book your 1:1 sessions and be given a timeline to complete them.

Working with a business professional, you will develop goals, strategies and an action plan to address your identified areas of focus.

City of Airdrie employees are not eligible. Family members of City of Airdrie employees may be eligible for the program.

About the Right For Your Business program

Launched by Airdrie Economic Development in 2020 to support businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the third iteration of the Right for Your Business program. In 2021, the Right for Your Business voucher program helped more than 80 local businesses. This year, the program will connect business owners with experts to provide free individualized advice based on the business’ greatest needs. Participants will develop actionable plans to help them reach their short-term goals and ensure long-term sustainability for the future.
