Green Organics Cart

Put up to two litres of cooking oil, fats, sauces, drippings and grease in your green cart for composting. Special instructions •Solidify fats and grease by letting it cool at room temperature or in fridge. •Mix oil with an absorbent material such as paper towel, newspaper or kitty litter and put the mixture in a certified compostable bag or paper bag. All items must be placed LOOSE in your recycling bin except for:

Proper use of the green organics and blue recycling carts, and the Recycle Depot will help reduce the amount of garbage sent to landfill.

The Transfer Site is a collection point for residential waste and construction material. Material is taken to landfill and recycling sites in the Calgary area.
