Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025/ For immediate release

Although the extreme cold weather warning from Environment Canada has now been lifted, the City of Airdrie will continue to offer cold weather supports due to the consistent cold temperatures.

Transportation from the daytime warming spaces to the overnight warming spaces will be available. Food and warm beverages will be available at the overnight warming spaces. Community Links Outreach Support will be on site at the overnight warming spaces from 9 – 10:30 p.m. on both nights. There will be no overnight warming spaces open from February 7 – 9, and the Extreme Weather Action Collective will assess the need for further cold weather supports on Monday, Feb. 10.
