Due to the forecasted cold weather conditions expected through the long weekend, overnight warming spaces will be opening in Airdrie from Saturday, Feb. 15 to Monday, Feb. 17.
Anyone needing overnight support for the night on Friday, Feb. 14, can visit the daytime warming spaces at Genesis Place or the Airdrie Public Library. Nearing the end of the day, staff at these locations will provide residents in need with options and support to get to a warm overnight space.
Over the weekend, transportation between the daytime warming spaces and the overnight warming spaces will be available. Food, warm beverages and other supports will be available at the overnight warming spaces. Full details on daytime and overnight warming spaces, and other cold weather supports can be found below.
