AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie’s 2022 Business Survey shows 92 per cent of respondents are satisfied in owning and operating a business in Airdrie.
The online and phone survey was conducted from April 4 to May 10, 2022. The survey was open to all licensed Airdrie-based businesses. A random sample phone or online survey was completed by 363 businesses out of an initial sample of 2,266. The total response rate for the survey was 17.2%, which is very high in the market research industry. The results have a high level of accuracy (with a 5.1% margin of error at a 95% confidence level) and statistically represents the business community in Airdrie.
“We want to thank the business community for taking the time to complete the survey and provide their feedback,” says Tara Levick, Economic Development Officer. “We’re seeing a positive outlook from Airdrie businesses and they are telling us they feel cautiously optimistic for the future."

“Things have been tough for businesses over the last two years and the City has an opportunity to continue to provide an environment where businesses can grow and thrive,” says Mayor Peter Brown. “Gathering feedback from Airdrie businesses is important to ensuring we are addressing challenges that are important to them.”
“Airdrie Economic Development is very proud of Airdrie’s business community and its resiliency over the past few years,” says Levick. “New to the survey this year were the Triage Flag Results, which will give us an opportunity to connect with businesses for further discussion and an opportunity to discuss their needs.”
