Expedited development permit review
Expedited development permit review
The expedited development permit review and decision incentive aims to speed up the process of reviewing and deciding on development permits for new projects. It's meant to give developers quicker service and more certainty about their plans.
This incentive is only for development permits for new projects within the Community Revitalization Levy (CRL) area. It doesn't apply to permits for changing how a building is used or for changing the land's designated use.
Program eligibility
- Development must be new and located within the CRL boundary
- Applicant must have completed a robust planning pre-application process
- Applicant must have eligibility approval from a Development Officer.
Application period
Applications for this incentive will be accepted as of May 1, 2024 and continue on an ongoing basis.
NOTE: The application form for this incentive is to request the robust pre-application process, in order to be eligible to participate in the incentive stream.
