NOTE: Monthly payments are calculated by taking the current tax levy and dividing it into the remaining months of the year. Any lump sum payment made will lower your monthly amount. Please email taxation@airdrie.ca or call 403.948.8856 to have the amount recalculated.

Terms of use

  • I/We hereby authorize the City of Airdrie and its Financial Institutions to debit my account for all property taxes including any local improvement levies payable to the City of Airdrie in the amount of the monthly payment shown above, on the last day of each month beginning January of the taxation year and which amount may increase/decrease on June 1 to the amount shown on the annual Property Tax Notice issued by the City of Airdrie.
  • This authorization may be cancelled at any time upon written notice by me/us, subject to providing written notice to the City of Airdrie at least 15 days prior to the next payment date, and all outstanding amounts become due and payable and subject to penalties.
  • Any payment returned N.S.F. may result in termination of the plan, and all outstanding amounts become due and payable and subject to penalties.
  • In the event of a sale of the above noted property, I/We will notify the City of Airdrie, in writing at least 15 days prior to the next payment date, to arrange for cancellation.
  • I/We acknowledge that any additional payments made due to inadequate notice of cancellation, as outlined above, will be deemed a voluntary payment to the tax roll, if no action to recover additional payments is made within six months after the payment to the municipality, pursuant to Section 352 of the Municipal Government Act.
  • In the event I/we change my/our bank account I/we will notify the City of Airdrie in writing and provide a current cheque marked 'VOID' at least 15 days prior to the next payment date.
  • Any delivery of this authorization to you constitutes delivery by me/us.
  • The signature of a person required to sign on this bank account must sign the agreement below.
  • Nothing in this Application/Pre-Authorized Debit Form shall be interpreted to relieve the owner/applicant from the Obligation to pay any taxes/utility charges, including penalties, owing to the City of Airdrie in the manner or the date or dates for payment established by by-law of the City of Airdrie.
  • By copy of this Application/Pre-Authorized Debit Form the applicant/owner acknowledges notification of and agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions of the Pre-Authorized Debit and the Electronic Funds Transfer Service provided by the City of Airdrie's Financial Institution.
  • The current utility levy/taxes, local improvement levies plus any tax/utility arrears must be paid in full for eligibility in the plan.
  • December is the settle up month for the Monthly Tax Payment Plan. If your December settle up amount differs by more than $10.00 from your regular monthly payment, you will be notified by letter. If there is a balance on January 1 you will be removed off the payment plan and all amounts become due and payable and subject to penalties.
  • I have certain recourse rights if any debit does not comply with this agreement. For example, I have the right to receive reimbursement for any debit that is not authorized or is not consistent with this PAD Agreement.
  • This agreement only applies to the property indicated on this online agreement and is not transferable to another property address. A separate online agreement must be completed for each property.
